What would we do without texting as we know it today? New York Jets star (sort of) Tim Tebow responded to the viral #TebowCallMatt campaign on Twitter and called the upstate NY youth who was hurt in a drunk driving accident where two of his classmates were killed. Regardless of your opinions of Mr. Tewbow’s quarterbacking skills, you can’t deny he is just a good person. The police department in Pottstown, Pennsylvania has partnered with the Pottstown Mercury (local newspaper) and they have begun to use Pinterest to track down local criminals. By posting mugshots of criminals, the police department has seen a 57% increase in arrests. Other cities like Philadelphia have taken notice and imitated this strategy. You can run but you can’t hide …even on Pinterest! In the education world, online learning platform Udemy has raised $12 million dollars to drive down the cost of higher education. Check out this great class on social media on Udemy. For our viral video of the week, check out this time-lapse viewing of planes landing at San Diego International Airport on Black Friday.
