Today is a very sad day around the nation. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and families in Newton, Connecticut. 

 

Pope Benedict XVI has joined Twitter. We look forward to seeing what kind of tweets he will bless us with. Have you heard of the battle between Kobe Bryant and Lionel Messi? Check out this viral video and see who wins the battle. A college in South Carolina has now declared social media an official major at the school. You can know Instagram and earn your degree! Of course there is more to your education than that, but we are please to see one university take the next step in the social media educational journey. Too bad CMO’s from some of the largest US corporations still don’t take social media seriously. The Harvard Business Review interviewed 2100 CMO’s. 11% said they view social media as a passing fad and only 7% have integrated social media into their marketing activities.   Perhaps these were the same executives who thought a website was a luxury and not a necessity. Even the White House has now joined Pinterest.
