This was a tough week to work for Instagram. They changed their terms of service and there was a massive outcry from their user base. There was this incident in Sweden.  Although the terms have changed back to the original terms, users are now giving Instagram the side-eye stare, just waiting for the next shoe to drop. One of our favorite services, IFTTT, just received a holiday gift in the form of $7M in funding. Keep an eye out for this amazing service in 2013. Young adults (and maybe some older adults) said goodbye to the TV show, Gossip Girl this week. This show was a social media pioneer on the TV screen and we are sad to seem them go. Which TV show will take the baton and keep running? We welcome any and all predictions. Speaking of TV, the Nielsen ratings are now taking into account Tweets during shows which will then be released as the Nielsen Twitter TV Rating. Say goodbye to those Nielsen boxes (have you ever actually met someone with a box?) and hello to a more holistic rating system. Any Boston Celtics fans out there? You now have a mobile app where you can hear a live stream of every game. Very cool. The Phoenix Suns are the only other NBA team to offer this feature.
