This week is known as CES week in the social media world. We get to learn about many new devices, large screen TV’s and a few updates from social media companies. The one release that caught our eye was from Aereo which wants to offer people free, over the air local TV via the internet AND give people the option to record content for later viewing – like a DVR in the cloud. A new feature that Facebook launched a few weeks ago is gaining some attention. Take a peek and see which big brands are buying “Likes” from places they have no business getting “Likes” from. The Madison Hotel in Washington DC is offering a $47,000 hotel package for inauguration that includes a social media butler. Give me a loan and make my reservation. The mid-season TV schedule is about to begin. These five TV shows do a great job of engaging viewers on the second screen.
