This week, we’re shining a spotlight on our fabulous accounts team here at Fifty & Five. Get to know the folks who are working hard behind the scenes!

From left to right:

Cassie is an Iowa native and has a Midwest charm with a dash of valley girl. You’ll frequently find her wandering the streets of South Bay with her husband and their dog looking for adventure.

Evan is a graduate of the USC Marshall School of Business and a total automotive enthusiast.  If you can’t catch him in English, try a word or two in Japanese.

Scarlett is a South Bay native and UC Irvine alum (zot zot!) who has a knack for digital marketing and endless passion for all things French. When she finds time to unplug, she’s getting her zen on at the nearest park.

Hunter (a.k.a Ünt) is a graduate of Boston University’s School of Communications. When he’s not thinking about branding or social media, he designs apparel for local streetwear companies.

Michael is a recent business grad with strong ties to Long Beach. Besides being a chocolate connoisseur and avid sports fan, he also enjoys shooting a round of golf….mini golf.

Jess is one passionate pistol. Whether she’s downtown covering the hottest trunk show for her lifestyle blog or standing on her head at the local yoga studio, you can always rely on her for a zucchini-filled Ziplock – coined the office VegHead – and an opened Twitter app.

Lucas is our visionary and CEO who spends his free time Foodspotting and holding his own on the beach volleyball competitive circuit.

Jenna can often be found at the airport, passport in hand, jetting off to her next international adventure. Stateside, she holds true to her southern roots by making a mean biscuits and gravy and cheering on her Florida Gators.

Austin (not pictured) is pioneering a new form of bi-coastal living (between Santa Monica, CA and Austin, TX) where he sits on the board of Co-Lab Projects, a non-profit art and new media gallery.

Stephen (not pictured) is a recent Mac convert and averages 180 on the lanes. You can find him on Twitter and Foursquare checking in all over town.

Fortune 500 Companies Increasingly Active in Social Media

A recent report by University of Massachusetts Dartmouth revealed that an increasing number of Fortune 500 companies are involved in social media. Seventy-seven percent of these companies maintain active Twitter accounts (a 4 percent increase from last year) while 70 percent maintain a Facebook page (also 4 percent more than last year). Sixty-nine percent have accounts on YouTube, 35% have an active presence on Google+, 8.8 percent have Instagram accounts, and 8.8 percent are on Foursquare, while 9 percent maintain Pinterest accounts.

On Twitter, the leading Fortune 500 companies are Google, Whole Foods and Starbucks. The companies that are popular on Facebook, on the other hand, are Walt Disney, Coca-Cola and Starbucks.

Trover, A Communal Photo Atlas

The company said it aims to be more than a photo-sharing site, acting as a resource where travelers share insights and tips.
